A very beautiful and casual wedding it was at the Craidelonna Lodge along Sooke road which I highly recommend for small weddings. The place is just stunning. Jacquie and Blake were equally casual, naturally beautiful, stress free and very much in love which made for the picture seance a joy! They hoisted a flag with two hearts as a ceremonial gesture which was a nice touch I thought.

Harjog and Ian, Cattle Point, BC
They came all the way over from Australia to marry close to their roots and families. An intimate and elegant wedding with only their close families to witness their vows along side Cattle Point. The colors from their saris and overcast skies made for a visual treat! Harjog and Ian were so wonderfully relaxed throughout the day. After their heartfelt ceremony we wondered peacefully to a café then through Fan Tan Alley with no specific agenda. Harjog being a photographer herself understood the process and for this I am grateful.
Cathy and Van, Edmonton, AB
The magnificent and menacing clouds of Alberta’s big skies was splendid and added a touch of drama to the lovely Cathy and Van’s photo seance. For a short while I was in heaven as the light was kind. The bright and colourful ceremony had a touch of both Korean and Chinese traditions which included a pig roast and bountiful gifts from family and guests. Live music from friends and the most dancing I’ve ever witnessed with the wiser generation. Not sure what was in the food but they kept on going into the wee little hours!
Tasha and Jesse, Craigdarroch Castle, Victoria BC
From classic imagery in a classic Castle to the surreal. A creative and wonderful wedding day it was with the lovely Tasha and soulful Jesse! Jesse has family lineage with the Dunsmir family therefor he and Tasha had privileged access to otherwise roped off areas. Although we were not to touch anything except the piano and pool table. Slightly limited but nevertheless a visual treat! Jesse’s hat made for some wonderful shapes and themes. And what a relief it was to have beautiful overcast skies on what is normally the brightest time of year! Tasha and Jesse, a pleasure it was to photograph you and your kind families!
Joy and Chris, St. Anns’ Academy, Victoria BC
I can still here Joys’ laughter linger, so rich and soulful! A heartfelt ceremony in the sweet little chapel at St. Annes’ is always visually stimulating. Supportive families and friends by the numbers surround them! The sun far too intense for the mid-part of the day shoot so Joy and Chris happily agreed to doing our photo session in China Town. Dieu merci. What a treat that was!!! How grateful I am to have fabulous couples like Joy and Chris, so grateful!
Claire and Paul, Poets’ Cove, Pender Island, BC
The beautiful Claire, Paul and all their close families came all the way from England to marry at Poets’ Cove. A wonderful group so grateful for everything which made it that much more special to be with them. Their 85yr old energetic grandmother and her four sons reunited for the first time in 25 years! What a privilege to witness such events! Both photographer connoisseurs themselves, it was an honor to be trusted to capture their wedding day and I’m certain we’ll keep in touch visually. Cheers to you both and your families!
