Nina and Barnabas have surrounded themselves with an array of fabulous characters! Even the speeches were entertaining! Once more, the joy of photographing a backyard wedding was a treat. In this case a very BIG backyard wedding full of animation and countless laughter. Still working on this wedding and there will be a few more images to post.
Bekkie + Kamil, elegant backyard Sidney, 08/08/09

One can not say enough wonderful things about a backyard wedding where there is very little structure and plenty of room for people to mingle and share emotions. Bekkie and Kamil were incredibly laid back and made room for laughter. For this I opted mostly for B&W and it was refreshing to do so as this is my roots.

Kathrin and Iain and Company were absolutely wonderful to photograph. Willing to try anything.. and the bright sun and heat did not deter any of them. Even if a few of the guys did nod off for a short bit, they awoke with humor and braved more of the photo shoot. For now I’m toying with some actions to achieve a softer light.. 1PM this time of year is brutally bright!
